“ What an awesome meal on Skye! The “old school” atmosphere was so unique and fun. The Cullen Skink was fantastic, as was the special (three different types of smoked fish). For dinner, we had the fish and chips (was great) and the scallops with Scottish black pudding. Everything was truly so tasty and the service was exceptional. The staff even taught us some history of the local area. ”

Followed by an incredible chocolate mousse and the biggest slab of sticky toffee pudding I’ve ever seen. The service was faultless too and the staff were so friendly. An absolute gem of a place! Make sure you book ahead as they get busy. ”

Highly recommended, took the time to show how to eat the seafood correctly and suggested pairing drinks, the period dress of the staff was a lovely touch to the old school heritage too. ”

The family that owns the Airbnb we stayed in got A take away from here as well. So if the locals like it, you know it's good! ”
“ Had lunch here on our way to Dunvegan castle. The place is very charming and everyone was super friendly and helpful. We were seated immediately (but we had called in advance to make sure). Ordered their Cullen Skink soup and their fish and chips. The fish and chips was delicious and crisply. Loved that it came with a tangy salad which helped to cut through all of the fried goodness. That being said, the undisputed star was the soup! Seasoned perfectly, super satisfying, with a distinct smoky flavor. We have had this soup elsewhere, even fancier and more expensive establishments, but by far this was the best. Highly recommended! ”

“ A bustling, cosy restaurant with attentive staff and lovely food. We took the hosts suggestion of mussels as a starter that were fresh from Lewis that day - yum! Then beef cheeks and langostines for main which were both cooked to perfection. Of course can't go past the desserts and we opted for sticky toffee pudding and the special - chocolate mousse... wow! So smooth and decadent. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone on Skye ”
